As of January 2016 I have volunteered to be the Student Life Drawing Club adviser which means, every Wednesday, I oversee the 3 hour drawing sessions, hire and book the models, mentor club officers and give feedback while maintaining a boundary of not becoming an instructor in the club. This is free time for students to draw at their own pace, build a portfolio of work and generate ideas about the figure that they can translate into their other work. The figure is an intense endeavor and the only way one gets better and more comfortable drawing it, is … to draw it!

Looking forward to many semesters of advising in this position and watching young artists explore the most complex of creative pursuits.
